Sailing at The Cove

The Cove in conjunction with Trysail, Falmouth are offering 'Sailing in Cornwall'.

With some of our best spell of fine weather occurring out of season, why not admire our beautiful coastline from the water whilst aboard a 10-12 metre Cruising Yacht? Experience the thrill of sailing as well as taking the helm and handling the ropes. You may like to take a 'Day Sail' onboard one of our DoT/RYA coded training vessels or participate in a 2 day RYA Start Yachting Program which will introduce each candidate to Sail Cruising and life onboard a yacht. Which ever you choose you will skippered by a fun and experienced RYA Instructor, have the use of quality wet weather gear and be fully catered for onboard.

Day Sail (1 day): £105 per person including lunch and transfers (min 3 persons). Pick up from The Cove at 7.30am, sailing 9am - 5pm, return to the Cove approx 7.30pm.

Your day: After a thorough safety brief, your instructor will teach you the principles of sailing and give you the chance to sail the yacht around a short course. After a seafood lunch you will make a short trip around Falmouth or the Carrick Roads before returning to Falmouth to be taken back to The Cove.

RYA Start Yachting (2 days)|: £215 per person including transfers (min 3 persons). A fully accredited and certificated RYA sailing course including all accommodation, tuition, meals and use of quality wet weather gear and sleeping bag.

Day One: Pick up from The Cove at 7.30am, safety brief, introduction to sailing, sailing around a short course, passage to over night stop for approx 6pm. Visit to waterside pub followed dinner, wine and overnight accommodation provided onboard.

Day Two: Breakfast followed by completion of the Start Yachting Syllabus including mooring practices finishing by 5pm and returning to The Cove by approx 7.30pm.
